Red Wing Police Guns and Drug Bust

The Red Wing Police Department, with the assistance of the Southeast Violent Crimes Task Force and the Goodhue County Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant yesterday in the 100 block of West 6th Street in Red Wing.

As a result of the operation, four firearms were recovered, and a large quantity of illegal drugs was seized. 

Two adult males, identified as 24-year old Ryan David Lee Gerdes and 25-year old Austin Reginald Denzer, were taken into custody and booked into the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center. 

In a separate incident Wednesday, the Red Wing Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle traveling at high speeds through parts of Goodhue County and the City of Red Wing. 

Officers stopped the vehicle using a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) to stop the immediate danger to the public.

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

There are no reported injuries and no additional details will be released at this time.
