Red Wing Police Department April TZD Campaign

The Red Wing Police Department is reminding folks that there are still extra patrols participating in an education campaign in support of the Toward Zero Deaths traffic safety program for the rest of this month.

Assistant Police Chief, Brian Metling, says they will watching out for distracted driving, of all types, including cell phone use, tailgating, and speeding.

Statistics show the leading cause of traffic-related deaths and severe injuries in southeast Minnesota include: lack of seat belt use, speeding and aggressive driving and alcohol.
