
A 35-year old Red Wing man was critically injured Monday morning after colliding with a box truck while on his scooter.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports David Egan was in the northbound lane of traffic on Highway 61 when he was struck by a box truck that was headed south on the highway.
The incident was reported at 6:53 am on Highway 61 near Bench Street in Red Wing.
Egan was transported by Red Wing Ambulance to Rochester for treatment at St. Marys Hospital. The State Patrol described his injuries as life-threatening.
The St. Paul man driving the truck, 31-year-old See Vang, was not injured.
Red Wing Police Department, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and Red Wing Ambulance also responded.
The incident remains under investigation.
