The Red Wing Fire Department is utilizing a unique training opportunity for their firefighters.
They’re training in a vacant building on the 300 Block of West Fourth Street (former site of Mike’s Barber Shop) before the owner demolishes the building and prepares the site for redevelopment.
Firefighters are performing various training exercises throughout the building; none include live fires, but passersby may notice theatrical smoke.
Signs will be up whenever training is ongoing, and all training will be completed no later than Monday, November 27.
Please be cautious if in the area while signs are displayed.
