Red Wing residents are invited to attend the Red Wing Fire Department Open House. The event takes place Sunday, from 11 am to 2 pm at 420 Plum Street.
There will be a kitchen grease fire demonstration at noon and at 1 pm there will be a home fire demonstration with live fire and and sprinkler demo.
You will also have the opportunity to meet local Firefighters and Paramedics, meet and practice with a Goodhue County Dispatcher making a 911 call so you know what information they need to know in case of an emergency.
There will car seat safety demonstrations with Goodhue County Health and Human Services and the Boy Scout Troop 32 will be there selling popcorn.
Bring non-perishable food items to help support our community and our local food shelf.
This week is the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week in the United States.
