2021 saw almost a 20% increase in emergency calls for the Red Wing Fire Department.
Fire Chief, Mike Warner, says the 3,315 calls included a wide variety of services needed, including opioid overdoses.
Warner says one number was down from 2020, the overall number of rescues fell from 18 to 11 in 2021.
According to Warner, COVID played a part in the overall numbers being up last year.
