The Minnesota FFA Foundation announced the presentation of the official FFA jacket to the Red Wing Chapter.
Â
Participation in the Blue Jacket Bright Futures program was made possible through $1,000 donation by Compeer Financial, which supports high school ag programming.
Â
The jackets will remain with the club. Students also had the option to purchase and personalize a jacket on their own.
Â
Teacher Bill Emery says with a jacket, FFA members can participate in competitions and attend conferences. Red Wing students were granted an exemption last spring.
Â
The chapter has quickly grown to 15 members and they meet every morning before school.
Â
FFA plays a role in developing agricultural knowledge and furthering personal growth in students while preparing them for their future careers.
