Red Wing City Council Meeting

The Red Wing City Council last week approved the student voting member applicants to the Sustainability Commission and Human Rights Commission.

The council also approved authorization for the Police Department to apply for a grant that supports an embedded social worker on the department's staff for two years and the five-year Street Reconstruction Plan with preliminary approval for issuance of bonds. 

A Tax Increment Financing Assistance Agreement for the Fleischman's Malting Project was approved.

This site, across from the YMCA along Broad Street, includes the old malting building, which is planned for demolition and redevelopment into a mix of commercial space and housing units.
