Red Wing City Council Elections

Residents have filed for the four City Council seats up for election, with two candidates in each race: Wards 1 & 2 combined, Ward 3, Ward 4, and At Large (the whole city).
Because no more than two candidates filed for any race, all candidates will appear on the general election ballot this fall, and you will not see any City offices listed on the August 11th primary ballot.
That gives you plenty of time to contemplate which selection you'll ultimately make in November.
Current Council President, Janie Farrar, will square off against Amber Dawn Plank for the At Large Council Member seat, which represents all of Red Wing.
Wards 1 & 2 Council Member candidates are Gerald Brylski and Tim “Hudy” Hudacek. Incumbent Ron Goggin chose not to seek re-election.
Ward 3, which is currently represented by Becky Norton, feature candiates Liz Magill and Janet Hansmeier and Ward 4 will have Chet Charles running against incumbent, Vicki Jo Lambert.

Take the time to see post fully — it's genuinely rewarding. The surface summary is good, but the detail is where the value is. You supported your points with solid reasoning. The clarity made even the dense parts approachable. I came away genuinely informed. Thank you for the careful writing. Great work all around.
