The Red Wing City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Kyle Klatt as the new Community Development Director effective, September 13th at their meeting last week.
City Council Administrator Kay Kuhlman says Klatt is a great fit to take over for Dan Rogness, who intends to retire in January 2022. Kuhlman says Klatt has worked for the city in the past.
Council member Dean Hove said he likes the fact that Klatt is a Red Wing resident.
The council also approved a motion to use $ 35,000 from General Fund Contingency to cover the overlap of costs during September— December.
