Red Wing City Council Agenda

The Red Wing City Council last week had a busy agenda as usual.

• The Council approved (6-0) an amendment to the Goodhue County Historical Society lease, waiving insurance trust premiums for 2026.

• Approved (6-0) revised definitions for emergency housing, supportive transitional housing, community center, community services, and small-scale food production, and approved where those uses are allowed in each zoning district.

• Approved (6-0) an amendment to a conditional use permit for Xcel Energy to use a building at the existing ash disposal facility to remove metals before the ash enters landfills. 

  
  

Approved (6-0) for the City to work with a contractor to provide an Employee Benefits Study that compares the benefits of City employees with those in other comparable Minnesota cities. 

The Red Wing City Council meet at City Hall on the second and fourth Mondays each month at 6:30 pm.
