Red Wing 4th of July on the River at Levee Park

There will be a new kind of celebration in Red Wing this Independence Day.

While there won't be fireworks in town this year, there will be a free musical event from 1-5 pm along the riverfront for all to enjoy Tuesday.

Peter Borne with Riverborne Creations is docking his riverboat which has been transformed into a floating recording studio and performance ship for a free afternoon of free family fun.

4th of July on the River at Levee Park will feature musical performances by the Patriotic Brass Band and Mick Sterling and friends, and students of Universal Music Center.

Other performances will feature including a Bucket Brigade with crowd participation drumming, instructed by Mike Arturi.

KWNG will be broadcasting live on the 4th during the event from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.
