Police Chief Rohr Retirement Council

The City of Red Wing held a public retirement reception for Police Chief Gordon Rohr Monday afternoon prior to the City Council meeting.

Rohr has worked for the City since 2002, originally being hired as a Patrol Officer and subsequently serving as a Field Training Officer, a Patrol Sergeant and Operations Captain.

Rohr told the council he thinks the department is set up for success once he’s gone and he almost didn’t accept the promotion in the summer of 2021.   

Rohr says he’s thankful for all the support he’s gotten from the City and fellow officers.

Rohr was officially sworn in as Chief in July of 2021. His last day with the department is February 9th.
