According to the Plainview News, Plainview’s Public Works Department has been honored with a 2022 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Water Fluoridation Quality Award by officials with the Minnesota Department of Heath’s Oral Health and Drinking Water Protection programs.
The award was presented to operators of the city’s public water system in recognition of significant contributions toward maintaining the optimal level of fluoride in drinking water for 12 consecutive months in a calendar year, according to a letter from the Department of Health.
Public Works director Shane Loftus said he and his crew take pride in providing the best water available.
