Plainview Public Library Director Alice Henderson wrote in her report to the Plainview City Council May 13th that the Southeast Libraries Cooperating (SELCO) region has ‘gone live’ on the library’s new database.
Library patrons can expect:
The new online catalog is available from the library’s website (https://plainview.lib.mn.us).
The SELCO Libraries app is working. SELCO recently migrated library patron and item data to a new database, which libraries will use to circulate materials.
The Plainview News reports all materials returned during the migration have been checked in. Patrons can verify those returns in the online catalog and the app.
SELCO region interlibrary loan delivery and MNLINK statewide interlibrary loan delivery has resumed.
Henderson said there will likely be some residual issues that need to be addressed in the upcoming weeks.
Library staff members are prepared to help answer questions and resolve concerns as they arise.
