Plainview Public Library Activities

Summer will be bustling at the Plainview Public Library with events and reading for all ages.

Weekly story times for families will be offered most Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

Adults are invited to expand their reading horizons with one of the library’s two adult book clubs.

In partnership with the Plainview Area History Center on Thursday, June 11th at 6 p.m., the library welcomes Sara Holger, naturalist and coordinator of Project Get Outdoors, to offer the presentation, ‘Ghost Towns of Southeastern Minnesota.’

This program explores the vanished towns and villages of southeast Minnesota.

Holger shares the stories behind these communities and the lessons their histories offer.

The program is made possible by the people of Minnesota through Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Library Legacy fund, in collaboration with our regional public library system, SELCO.

It will be held at the Plainview Area History Center at 40 4th St. SW in Plainview.

Information about other events and programs can be found on the library’s website at plainview.lib.mn.us or bycalling the library at 507-534-3425.
