Plainview Mayor, Aaron Luckstein, says he and the City Council continue to recognize the importance environmental stewardship goals and efforts are moving forward.
Luckstein says the city has modified the way they dispose of wooded debris, it all goes to a burn site and is chopped up with a chipper and turned in to mulch that residents can use.
Luckstein says while the city doesn’t have any specific programs dedicated to renewable clean energy goals, they do have a local partnership with People’s Energy Coop, participating in their rebate program and energy management.
