PEM Elementary School and Immanuel Lutheran School third-graders recently received information-packed dictionaries from members of the Plainview Lions Club through The Dictionary Project in Plainview.
The Dictionary Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, works to help all students become good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them with their own personal dictionary, according to information at dictionaryproject.org.
According to the Plainview News, the dictionaries, containg a wide variety of information - from sign language, planets and world facts, to U.S. presidents, the 50 states, and countries and their locations - are a gift to each student to use at school and at home.
