Plainview Blood Drive

Plainview’s first American Red Cross blood drive of 2026 is just around the corner - it’s scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 at American Legion Post 179, 215 3rd St. SW.

According to the Plainview News, local community members have been hard at work sewing microwaveable hand warmers for donors to use before and during their donations.

These hand warmers help increase blood flow and improve the accuracy of hemoglobin readings.
