Pine Island Man Dies

Officials are investigating after a person was found dead in Pine Island.
Early Monday evening, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers were called to the 9200 block of County Road 5 in the township of New haven about a fire.
According to KTTC, 30-year-old Jacob Byler of Pine Island was found dead outside of his home by the Pine Island Fire Department with extensive burns.
There was a fire in a portion of the house, but it is unclear how the fire started.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Fire Marshall are investigating and an autopsy will be performed at Mayo Clinic to determine cause of death.
