Pine Island Field of Honor

The Pine Island Lions Club, the Pine Island Fire Department, and Pine Island American Legion Post 184 are teaming up once again this week to present the Field of Honor at Trailhead Park.

Opening Ceremony is Thursday, August 20 at 7 pm, at Trailhead Park (101 E. Center St.). Flags will be displayed through Sunday the 23^rd.

During the ceremony, flags honoring veterans will be presented in alphabetical order.

Sponsors are invited to carry their honoree's flag to its place in the Field of Honor.

Members of the Pine Island Boy Scouts will also be available to carry flags, and sponsors are welcome to walk alongside them.

If you're unable to attend, the Scouts will gladly place your flag on your behalf.

Following the ceremony, everyone is invited to the Pine Island American Legion Club for refreshments.

A flag retirement ceremony will also be held at the Legion grounds after the Field of Honor ceremony.

Flags may be sponsored for $10 each. Complete a registration form and submit payment by PayPal, Venmo, cash, or check (payable to the Pine Island Lions Club).
