According to Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, deputies were alerted to an attempted robbery at Pine Island Bank in Pine Island.
A Goodhue County deputy spotted a person matching the description of the suspect driving a vehicle west of Pine Island.
The vehicle headed south on Highway 57 and was pulled over around 10:20 am in Dodge County. A Goodhue County deputy arrested the suspect, and custody was turned over to the Rochester Police Department.
The Pine Island School was put on lock down during the search, as a precaution. Lockdown was lifted once the suspect was apprehended. The same suspect is thought to have committed a robbery in Rochester earlier Friday.
RPD and the FBI are investigating the incident.
