PEM Schools Mold Remediation

PEM Schools Superintendent Courtney Frie addressed the School Board during their October 12th meeting.

Frie said project design and development is on track for an indoor air quality project with Minneapolis-based SiteLogIQ, an engineering firm which will serve as the school district’s project manager throughout the planning and construction process.

The Plainview News re ports the work will remediate a mold problem at the PEM PreK-3 building in Plainview.

It will include replacing the HVAC system, updating the fire alarm system to bring it up to new industry standards, and replacing fluorescent lighting with LED lighting.

Frie said during the that the company is on schedule to deliver construction documents for the project bidding phase in December.

SiteLogIQ will host community information meetings to share project details and answer questions as planning continues.
