PEM Miss Minnesota Angus Princess


PEM 5th-grader Piper Horton, a student in Mr. Besse’s class, was crowned 2026 Miss Minnesota Angus Princess.


Piper and her family recently attended the 2026 Minnesota Angus Association Banquet, Awards and State sale in Albany, Minnesota.


Piper and her Mom Jerilyn‑filled out a multiple page application which included two report cards, a list of all activities, leadership officer roles, and community service hours, along with pictures of Piper working with her cattle.


According to the Plainview News, Piper competes at a County, State and National level with her Registered Black Angus Cattle.


Piper works year round on her projects in a climate controlled barn and she is is a Reporter in her 4H Club.


She’s in MN Jr Angus Association, National Jr Angus Association, Softball and Immanuel Lutheran Church and Youth Group.


Piper is planning to run for Student Council next year at PEM as well as an Officer position in MN JR Angus this summer.
