PEM Fundraiser New Playground

ree

PEM Elementary School students recently raised $24,000  to help pay for a new all-inclusive, Bulldog-themed ‘Playground of Paws-Abilities’.

It’s hoped that the cool playground can open in 2026.

During the fundraiser, the kids enjoyed playing on inflatables and a ‘Ninja Rig,’ a portable obstacle course designed by Ninja Anywhere, a Roseville-based company which offers wellness and fitness services and brings ‘warrior-style training’ to school fundraisers.

According to the Plainview News, it features allows kids to run as high as you can up a ‘warped wall,’ navigate monkey bars, climb ropes, and race through obstacles on the ground.

PEM Superintendent Courtney Frie says it’s hoped the new playground, a 7,500-square-foot space with accessible equipment, including a wheelchair-accessible ‘Sway Fun’ glider and ‘We-go-Round’ - can be funded completely through donations.

The goal is to make about $1,000,000 in improvements to the current playground, with the equipment itself costing roughly $750,000.
