Each year the Pay It Forward Red Wing Foundation hosts a Party for a Cause benefit that honors our mothers who have been lost to breast cancer.
The Hardyman and Magnuson families created the foundation in 2007 to support local people who are having financial hardships due to cancer.
Tracy Hardyman says this years event is this Saturday, November 6th, starting at 6 pm at the Elks Lodge. Hardyman says there is a small entry fee ($10) that also serves as a raffle ticket. There are also silent auction items and other raffles with live music and food.
Hardyman says the fund assists patients who are going through or have received any type of cancer treatment with the assistance going towards necessary living expenses.
Pay it Forward Red Wing has contributed $400,000 to individuals in our local community so far. There are also 6 $1,000 scholarships available for students who have been affected by cancer. Hardyman says Saturday’s event will feature survivors sharing their stories.
You can purchase $10 Cash and Prize Drawing Raffle Tickets from the Elks Club, any member of the Magnuson or Hardyman families, or the night of the Party.
