Severe Weather Awareness Week kicks off today. The National Weather Service reports it includes both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Each day this week has a theme, today it’s Alerts and Warnings,
Tuesday - Severe Thunderstorms and
Lightning
Wednesday - Flooding
This Thursday, the tornado drill will take place at 1:45 pm and 6:45 pm. No test tornado warning will be issued, but the NWS will use the weekly NOAA Weather Radio test codes at 1:45 pm and 6:45 pm.
Severe Weather Week concludes Friday, when the focus is on Extreme Heat.
