Outgoing Plainview Mayor, Aaron Luckstein, says the new Mayor, Keith Holm, and the City Council will be facing some new challenges this upcoming year.
Luckstein the legalization of Cannabis and many of the new stipulations and rules regarding production, sale and usage are still up in the air.
Luckstein says several new unfunded mandates from the legislature regarding employee services, including sick leave and medical laws, will make keeping taxes down harder.
The first regular Plainview City Council meeting in the new year is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14th.
