National Eagle Center Stamp Event

The United States is celebrating its 250th Anniversary in 2026 and the U.S. Postal Service has chosen the National Eagle Center to host the First Day of Issue Ceremony for its Bald Eagle stamp.

Join them in the Riverfront Amphitheater in Wabasha at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14 for the issuance of “Bald Eagle: Hatchling to Adult” which celebrates our National Bird.

This issuance will be the first ever to take place in this historic Minnesota city, and the first stamps issued (first day cancel) will be of great interest to collectors.

The event will be FREE to attend.

The National Eagle Center is designing special first day covers that will also be available for purchase at the ceremony.
