National Eagle Center Outreach Event

The start of the winter season has Bald Eagle activity booming along the Upper Mississippi River.

In response to the strong eagle activity observed at Kaposia Lounge in South St. Paul, National Eagle Center educators will be at the park on Saturday, December 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m for some public viewing and educating.

This outreach event is free to the public.

The National Eagle Center also offers winter Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle viewing field trips out of the Center in Wabasha.

Attendees travel via coach bus to pre-scouted locations and receive educational programming during the bus ride. Trips begin at 12:30 p.m. and return between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.

Minimal walking is required and guests are encouraged to dress for conditions. Guests are also encouraged to bring their own binoculars and cameras. Communal spotting scopes and binoculars are provided for use.

Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members.

Seating is limited and interested individuals are encouraged to reserve seats as soon as possible. A waiting list is also available.
