Water levels continue to climb on the Mississippi River after more rain over the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the river at Hastings below Lock and Dam 2 is expected to reach moderate flood level of 17 feet by early Wednesday, and major flood level, 18 feet, by Thursday morning and reach 20 feet by Saturday morning.

Red Wing’s measurement stood at 13.24 as of Monday afternoon andd is forecast to go over the minor stage at 14 feet by Thursday. Moderate flooding is forecast at 15.1 feet by Saturday and just an inch under major flood stage, 15.9 feet, by next Monday.

The river at Lake City was 14.93 feet Monday and is expected to rise to just under minor flood stage of 15.9 feet by Saturday.
