Mississippi River Flood Stage


As expected, the Mississippi River water level keeps rising.


According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, as of Wednesday morning the river at Lake City is 11.98 ft, and by April 19th it’s estimated to be at 17.1 ft. Minor Flood stage is 16 ft, Moderate Flood level is 18 ft. and major flooding occurs at 20 ft.


The river as of Wednesday at Wabasha is 10.57 ft, and is forecast to be at 14.4 ft. by April 19th. Minor Flooding occurs at 12 ft, Moderate Flood Stage is 14 ft. The flood stage for major flooding is 16 ft.
