Rachel Evanglisto, the new Miss Minnesota, is the first Native American to win Miss Minnesota, representing southeastern Minnesota as Miss Winona.
That is not the only distinction she holds. Rachel says her talent of Praying Mantis Kung Fu was unique to the Miss Minnesota competition and beyond.
Rachel says she will be keeping busy the rest of the summer and fall leading up to the December Miss America competition and she’s looking forward to it.
Rachel’s Social Impact Initiative is Celebrating Culture and Driving Diversity and She has been accepted to Mitchell Hamline Law School where she hopes to obtain a Juris Doctorate in Tribal Law.
