Memorial Park Controlled Burns

The Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa in cooperation with the City of Red Wing will conduct controlled burns at Memorial Park today.

The burns will take place in several native prairie units along the southern face of Sorin’s Bluff and in planted prairie units on top of the bluff.

Fire and smoke may be noticeable from great distances.

Memorial Park will be open and available for public use.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to avoid the burn areas while burn crew members are on the scene and should follow any on-site instructions from burn crew members or temporary signage.
