March Foodshare Month Donations

ree

A reminder, March Foodshare Month across the state and for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf continues through Tuesday, April 9th.

Food Shelf Manager, Brenda Smith says it’s a statewide initiative that’s helps all the food shelfs but the much of the funds raised are from local food drives put on by various small get togethers, groups, and clubs. Smith says all food and financial donations are welcomed.

Smith says if you are holding a food drive email them and let them know, they offer pick-up service. Call them or email at 651-388-9302 for a pickup of donations.

You can mail a check to the food shelf at 1755 Old West Main St. Red Wing, MN 55066 and food donations can be dropped off in the bin in back of the food shelf.

If you send a check, write March Foodshare in memo.

The Red Wing Area Food Shelf is  open Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 4-6 pm, and Fridays from 11 am – 1 pm.

For more information,  and links to the food shelves in Cannon Falls, Ellsworth,  Lake City, Pine Island, and Zumbrota, go to http://www.redwingfoodshelf.org/.
