This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the Lucille Burrichter Scholarship Fund, proudly administered by St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation.
Since its establishment in 2002, the fund has awarded more than 400 scholarships totaling over $460,000 to support local students and healthcare employees pursuing education in healthcare.
The Plainview News reports scholarships are awarded each spring to graduating seniors from Wabasha-Kellogg, PEM, and lma, Pepin, and Plum City (Wis.) high schools.
A summer cycle also invites Emplify Health Wabasha Hospital and Clinics employees and their family members to apply for educational funding.
In Spring 2025, seven scholarships totaling $3,500 were awarded to area high school students during school ceremonies.
During the summer cycle, 10 additional scholarships totaling $11,000 were awarded to Emplify Health Wabasha employees and their family members to support their educational pursuits.
Individuals interested in supporting the Lucille Burrichter Educational Fund are encouraged to contribute through St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation.
