Learn about the state of invasive carp in Minnesota and what we can do to protect our waters with a meeting in Red Wing hosted by the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance and Friends of the Mississippi River.Â
The Minnesota DNR is expected to present its newly updated Invasive Carp Action Plan from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, January 24th at the Anderson Center at Tower View.
There will be time for attendees to ask questions and share their feedback and light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Rylee Hince, Executive Director of LPLA, says invasive carp have been around for a long time and the work continues on fixing the problem.
There will be two additional upcoming Invasive Carp Community Action Meetings, also from 5- 7pm.
Tuesday, January 30th meeting in St. Paul at the St Paul Yacht Club, it will also be livestreamed for those who would like to attend virtually, and Thursday, February 1st in Winona at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum.
