Lewiston Auto Holiday Basketball Tournament RECAP 

1. Lake City Girls 

   1. Friday - beat Waseca 60-24

   2. Saturday - lost a nail bitter vs a much improved Lewiston-Altura team, 52-51. The Tigers are now 7-5 on the season after this weekend.

2. PEM Girls 

   1. The PEM girls won their only game of the weekend vs Waseca on Saturday morning. PEM gets it done winning 66-41. Alivia Engler scored 27 points to lead PEM. They are back in action tomorrow at 3:15 pm vs KM.

3. Lake City Boys 

   1. Friday - fall to Winona Cotter 81-74. Gavyn Lorenson had a big game for the Tigers with 35 points while Colter Hegge added 19. The Tigers fell behind big, and had one heck of an effort battling back, but never could quite grab a lead against a red-hot Cotter squad. 

   2. The Lake City Boys beat Winona 83-65 behind Gavyn Lorenson’s 26, Colter Hegge’s 19, and Luke Narum 18 points.

4. Goodhue Boys

   1. Friday - the Goodhue boys won 88-74 against Winona on Friday.

   2. Saturday - a red-hot Cotter team was able to pull off the upset and defeated Goodhue 82-72 in the Saturday nightcap. The Goodhue boys will look to bounce back tomorrow night vs Chatfield. 

5. Zumbrota-Mazeppa Boys

   1. ZM defeated Chatfield 64-52 on Saturday. ZM and Red Wing boys will play tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 pm. 

Other Basketball this weekend

1. Goodhue Girls Basketball at St. Cloud

   1. Goodhue Girls got the job done 63-55 vs Royalton on Friday up in the St Cloud Area, but struggled to get the offense going against Duluth Marshall on Saturday, who is a top-3 ranked team in AA. Duluth Marshall gets the 80-47 win and Goodhue falls to 8-3.

Boys Basketball Action TODAY

1. PEM Boys take on Durand-Arkansas, Wisconsin today at 1:30 pm at Winona State. That game will be on Pure Country WPVW 99.7 FM with Aaron Nicklay or streaming through the WPVW app. 

2. Dover-Eyota and Red Wing will play at 5 pm at Winona State.

3. Ellsworth travels to Adams/Friendship for a holiday tournament.

Girls Basketball Action TODAY

1. ZM travels to Hayfield for tournament action. 

Wrestling TODAY

1. Goodhue Wrestling heads down to the Bi-State Classic in La Crosse, Wisconsin, today and tomorrow.

Red Wing Hockey TODAY

1. Boys - hosting their Holiday tournament today and tomorrow. 

   1. 2:30 pm today - Westonka vs St. Paul Highland Park 

   2. 7 pm - Red Wing vs Eau Claire Regis-Altoona-McDonnell Central

2. Girls - competing in the Winona Hockey invite today taking on south central this afternoon. They will also play Hudson tomorrow as part of that tournament.
