Section 1AAA Finals Wednesday, June 4th at The Red Wing Athletic Field with Stewartville vs. Kasson-Mantorville at 5pm. If Kasson-Mantorville wins the first game they force a second game later that night for the Section championship.

Red Wing Aces 4 Cannon Falls Bears 1-The Aces retired the #10 of legendary Corey Tauer in an emotional pre-game ceremony and then kocked off the Bears in a CCVL matchup at the Athletic Field.

Zach Harding had a big two run single with two out in the third inning to put Red Wing up 2-0. Marcus Walm doubled and scored on Reese Tripp's sacrafice fly the fifth inning to put the Aces up 3-0.

The Bears loaded the bases with nobody out in the top of the seventh inning off of the Aces second pitcher Reid Hartmann but Hartmann worked out of the jam with no runs scoring. The Bears scored their lone run in the top of the eighth inning as Pete Haggerty singled and scored on a double by Beau Zimmerman. The Aces scored in the bottom of the eighth when Christiaan Keohler singled and scored on an rbi double by Brodie Smith.

Aaron Johnson pitched six scoreless inning to get the win for the Aces with Drew Ball notching the save. Luke Winchell was the losing pitcher for Cannon Falls.

The Aces are 4-5 and host the Rochester Royals Tuesday at 7:30pm. Cannon Falls hosts Pine Island Thursday in their next contest.
