WHAT A DAY FOR THE HEISE FAMILY!

It was a Monday to remember for the Heise family of Lake City.

Taylor Heise scored her second goal of the Winter Olympics as the USA blanked Sweden 5-0 in the women's semi-final game in Milan, Italy. Heise was +2 for the day and led the Americans with four shots on goal.

Heise's goal at 9:09 of the second period put the United States up 2-0 and halted a surge by Sweden. The Americans scored three goals in a little more than 2 1/2 minutes later in the period to cruise to the win.

Heise and team USA face arch rival Canada for the Gold Medal Thursday in Milan, Italy.

Last night, younger brother Nate Heise (senior transfer from Northern Iowa) buried the go ahead three point basket with 1:17 left as Iowa State edged #2 Houston 70-67 in Ames, Iowa.

Heise was 3-3 from three point land and had 11 points for the #6 ranked 23-3 Cyclones.

Oh yeah...youngest brother Ryan is a sophomore at Winona State University and is second in scoring for the Warriors, averaging 13.9 points per game. Their next game is Thursday at Minnesota State Mankato.

Just another day for the Heise family!
