Girls Basketball:
Drew Olinger is set to return for a second stint at the head coach of The Lake City Tigers Girls Basketball team, pending Lake City School Board approval.
Olinger was the Lake City girls hoops coach in 2015-2016 before leaving toe coach the Red Wing Wingers Boys Basketball team for four seasons. He stepped down after the 2019-2020 season. Olinger also had tennis and golf coaching stints with Red Wing.
Olinger replaces Clay Olstad, who had five successful years with Lake City. Olstad was 83-45 overall including 19-4 last year where Lake City made it to the state tournament but lost in The Class AA quarterfinals to New London-Spicer. Olstad left to accept a teaching position at Rushford-Peterson.
Lake City returns four of their five starters from last year's team.
