Amateur Baseball:

Red Wing Aces 4 Rochester Royals 3 (10 innings)-Tre Moore's RBI single scored Ethan Loos with the game winner in the 10th inning in the Aces win over the Royals at Mayo Field.

Moore and Dixon Irwin knocked in two runs apiece to lead the Aces. The Aces won despite striking out 19 times. Aces pitching did the job again Wednesday night. Drew Ball pitched seven strong innings, allowing six hits, three runs with only one earned run. Ball walked two and had seven strike outs. Colter Hegge picked up the win in relief by going three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

The Aces are now 17-7 on the season and have won 10 out their last 11 games. Red Wing is also 8-0 in one run games and 7-1 in extra inning games.

Elsewhere last night, Winona beat Plainview 10-6 in a Twin Rivers League tilt.
