The U-S Army Corps of Engineers says the Motor Vessel Thomas Erickson was the last tow of the season on the Upper Mississippi River.
The ship departed Lock and Dam 10 near Guttenberg, Iowa on Sunday with 15 barges.
The navigation season officially ended on the river last week and repairs are beginning on the lock and dams in Hastings, Welch, La Crescent, and Alma, Wisconsin.
The 2023 season started on March 12th, when the Motor Vessel Phillip M Pfeffer broke through the ice on Lake Pepin on its way to St. Paul.
