A large crowd attended the Lake City Incorporation Day program on Saturday at Lincoln High School in Lake City. The event was part of the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of Lake City.
Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols told the crowd city leaders made many wise choices back when the Lake City was just beginning to grow.
U. S. Congresswoman, Angie Craig was on hand and said the city’s portion of the Federal Infrastructure Bill will help keep Lake City growing in the future.
Events will continue throughout 2022 to celebrate the 150th Incorporation of the City, the 100th anniversary of the invention of water-skiing by Lake City native Ralph Samuelson on Lake Pepin and the 50th anniversary of Water Ski Days, the city’s annual celebration.
