The Lake City Council approved the 2022 Levy and Budget Monday night.
Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols says this year’s levy increase of 6.1% is about double of the past several years average increase.
Despite the levy increase, Nichols says many residents will see a decrease in taxes due to the increase in the city’s market values, which have been increasing steadily.
