Irish Kellogg's Fireman of the Year

Congratulations to Mike Irish, who once again, has been voted Kellogg's 2025 Fireman of the Year.

Mike, a former Kellogg Fire Chief, was awarded the Kellogg Fire Department's 2025 Fireman of the Year at the annual Christmas party held at the fire hall.

The award is sponsored by Dave and Shelly Speedling, owners of SVJ Creative Designs and voted on only by fellow Kellogg Fire Department members during an October meeting.

Mike was also the very first recipient of the 2011 Fireman of the Year when the Speedlings first began handing out this honorable award.

Irish joins former Chief Ben Baker as a two-time winner for this award. Baker won 2016 and 2018 Fireman of the Year.

Mike currently serves as an extremely dedicated and knowledgeable fireman with 48 years of experience. Mike served as Fire Chief for 15 years, Assistant Chief for four years, and has held every other position on the department for at least a year.
