The City of Wabasha is planning a realignment of Highway 60 to improve safety, reduce flooding closures, and support community growth.
Come to an Open House on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4 pm – 6 pm at the Fire Hall, 113 Hiawatha Ave, Wabasha, to view the concepts and learn more about the project.
The project will construct a new roadway segment that eliminates a dangerous T-shaped intersection at the foot of the steep bridge approach and raises the road above the 100-year flood elevation.
The realignment will
Improve safety and reduces crash risk
Reduce closures from flooding
Move traffic out of residential neighborhoods
Support new housing and commercial development
The estimated start date for construction is Spring through Fall of 2027.
