Highway 52 Southbound Detour
Highway 52 southbound motorists north of Rochester will experience a weekend-long detour, Friday through Sunday, while crews make repairs to the 85th Street bridge and complete the project, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Starting at 7 pm on Friday, Oct. 23, Highway 52 southbound will be closed through Sunday, Oct. 25.
A detour route will be in place during the closure.
Northbound Highway 52 will remain open. Southbound motorists may experience minor traffic delays and backups during the detour.
After the weekend’s work, all things will be completed with the project, and lane closures will be removed.
This includes the Highway 52 southbound closure and the 85th Street bridge lane closure.
The Highway 52 southbound detour route: From Highway 52 southbound, take Exit 64, turn left (east) on Olmsted County Road 112/ 100th Street NW, turn right (south) on Olmsted County Road 112/ 18th Avenue NW, turn right (west) on Highway 63 (75th Street NW), then take the ramp to Highway 52.
