Girls Swimming:
The Red Wing Wingers girls 200 yard freestyle relay team was 16th Thursday in the Class A prelims at The University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.
Emma Hoppman, Greta Lane, Ari Holzer and Kyrrah Mullany will swim in the consolation round today.
Emma Hoppman was 17th in the 100 yard backstroke Thursday and just missed qualifying for the consolation round today.
Girls Hockey:
Albert Lea 9 Red Wing 2-The Tigers scored three goals in each period in beating the Wingers at Prairie Island Arena.
Tatum Zylka and Alli Roe scored for Red Wing.
Red Wing is 0-3 on the season and hosts Hutchinson Saturday at 1pm with the pre-game show at 12:45pm on Bluff Country 1250 KCUE/KCUE 99FM and on-line at www.kcueradio.com.
