Goodhue County Sheriff’s Citizen Academy

Greg Taylor

The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office will again be offering its Sheriff’s Citizens Academy.

Citizens Academy attendees will gain a working knowledge of the Sheriff’s Office; its personnel, policies, and procedures. It consists of nine classes held once a week for three hours per session. Deputies, supervisors, and other personnel with particular expertise in different sections of the Sheriff’s Office will conduct each instructional block.

It is felt that the Academy creates an opportunity for citizen/law enforcement interaction and cooperation.

The academy is free of charge and will take place over nine evenings. The class will be on Tuesday evenings Sept 21- Nov 16th, from 6:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., in Red Wing. The academy is open to any resident of Goodhue County 18 years of age and older.

For more information and an application, contact Deputy Hofschulte at Jenny.Hofschulte@Co.Goodhue.MN.US or call 651-385-3155.

The class size is limited to 20 people and applications will be sent to the first 20 people who request them. Applications will need to be submitted by September 15th, 2021.
